About the Artist
A graduate of The Ontario College of Art and Design and a professional artist for more than 30 years
specializing in the creation of large scale art, Tamsin is noted for her innovative painting techniques and the
ability to interpret and transform concepts and images, developing textures and a photo realistic style.
Her photo realism work has been sold to private and corporate buyers in Toronto, the United States
For two decades she worked with renowned artist Frank Stella, realizing his visions in his studio and at
international project sites.
Tamsin’s recent work uses this knowledge of photo realism to create depth with shadow and light, fractals
and mathematics. Her collaborative experience with fellow artists and use of other media (acrylics, fibres,
plastics, metal, enamels) have had a great influence on the development of these designs.
They are all Tamsin’s original images.
The images in her books are based on the designs she has used to decorate the glass, fabric and metal work she currently produces.
